Photographing the Eternal Bloom Collection
I did my very first model shoot! I hired the beautiful Megan Silva to be my model, and we went to work trying to make magic! Megan was a delight to work with and a trooper when trying to get those shots I envisioned in my head. One of the hardest was this rose crown photo, which turned out beautiful!
She was very trusting, as I stood on a step stool hovering above her trying to get the best shot. Thanks, Megan!
There was so much involved in planning the shoot, like scouting for a location, wardrobe, lighting, hair, and makeup, etc. Luckily we were blessed with a beautiful day! It was breezy and Megan’s hair would blow in her face a bit, but nothing a little Photoshop action couldn’t fix!
Over the years, I’ve gotten much better at photographing my jewelry, but portraiture photography was something new for me. I had to think about the overall design I wanted to create to showcase the collection and poses, and then afterward Photoshop each image with the same style so it had a cohesive look. I messed up a bit on the camera settings, but overall I am happy with how the model shoot turned out! I learned so much, and plan to go crazy with my next shoot! My next collection is going to include more gemstones and be a bit edgier! Megan has already agreed to be my model for my new collection, so I’m super excited for another shoot!
Here are some of my favorite shots.
